Chandler Tiny Home Village

The Chandler Tiny Home Village reflects Lehrer Architect's belief in providing human dignity, safety, love, and respect to enhance communities through thoughtful design. Lehrer Architects successfully designed Los Angeles' first Tiny Home Village using prefabricated "Pallet Shelters." The "Bridge Home" emergency housing campus rapidly transformed urban spaces into interim shelters. This innovative 13-week project minimized displacement, improved emergency response, and involved a collaborative design-build effort with Ford E.C. Inc. The streamlined process included expedited permitting, efficient construction planning, and expert civil engineering. Lehrer Architects prioritized design to uplift residents and enhance neighborhoods, creating a vibrant community with spatial character and logistical efficiency.

“People that had been living out in the elements, in a tent, under a freeway... to be able to come into their own private space, close the door, lock it…this is a place of safety where they can start their life again.”
- Ken Craft, President & CEO of Hope The Mission | ABC 7 Los Angeles
