Downtown Drop-In Center

This project was conceived as a temporary shelter for homeless persons in downtown Los Angeles, meant to provide only a shower and a bunk for a night's respite. The challenge to the architect was to find a way to create beautiful architecture within a severely limited budget. Lehrer Architects brought this project in at less than $70 per square foot.
