City of Eureka Waterfront Master Plan, Eureka, California 1998

Client: City of Eureka

This project, a design-build proposal for 30 acres of waterfront adjacent to Old Town Eureka. The City seeks a vision for this critical parcel between the water, Old Town, and the important wood milling/pulping/light industries that are Eureka's livelihood.

LA completed the Eureka, California Waterfront Master Plan, in 1998. A linear park was proposed to connect the site to the waterfront and it will ultimately become an impor¬tant opportunity for Eureka to expand its small “old town” community to Humbolt Bay. As a result of the Eureka Master Plan, LA was awarded the design of the Eureka Waste and Recycle Transfer Center.
