Saticoy Tiny Home Village

The Saticoy and Whitsett Tiny Home Village, located on a narrow strip of land between the 170 freeway and industrial properties, addresses homelessness with Lehrer Architects' thoughtful design. The site, nearly a quarter-mile long and only 20' wide at times, minimizes displacement and offers shelter, utilities, and services. The design honors the homeless community with vibrant colors and utilizes existing trees for shade. An 8' tall acoustic sound barrier fence mitigates noise and ensures privacy.

"A core tenet is that there are 'no throwaway spaces' and the design works with colorful, geometric patterns of blue, greens and yellow to a parcel of land previously derelict and disused."
