University of Southern California Annenberg Innovation Lab

The Innovation Lab at the USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism serves as a vibrant showcase, welcoming visitors and encapsulating the school's dynamic culture. Under a tight budget, Lehrer Architects successfully revitalized a previously underutilized resource library into a versatile, light-filled space. Through strategic use of bold colors to define areas and modular furniture for adaptability, they created an inviting environment that combines classroom and laboratory functionalities. This transformation not only reflects USC Annenberg's commitment to innovation and creativity but also fosters an atmosphere conducive to the groundbreaking work of its tech-savvy innovators. Lehrer Architects undertook the project commissioned by USC Annenberg to visually communicate and enhance the workspace for these cutting-edge creatives.
