Barnsdall Park

The Master Plan for Frank Lloyd Wright’s Barnsdall Art Park envisions a Los Angeles appreciating a better past while forging a brighter future. It restores the Hollyhock hilltop and surroundings based on original landscape plans by Wright and his son. The proposal includes regrading hillsides to softer contours, realigning roads for leisurely experiences reminiscent of the 1920s, and integrating parking within the park landscape to avoid dominating the land use. This comprehensive plan aims to honor the park's legacy while creating a sustainable and harmonious environment.

"Where the spirit of the 1920s meets a resilient LA legacy."
