Water + Life Museums

At its completion, the project marked a groundbreaking achievement as the world’s first LEED Platinum-certified museum and a recipient of more than ten prestigious design awards. The Water and Life Museums, now the Western Science Center Academy, are born of the construction of the story of water, its conservation, and stewardship, is told here.  An outcome of major infrastructural investment, its mission is to foster, convene, and promote study and action to preserve this precious resource. This museum is born of the construction of Diamond Valley Lake (DVL), the largest man-made water storage lake in North America.
