University of Southern California East Library

The University of Southern California's (USC) East Library on South Hope Street in Los Angeles presented an extraordinary opportunity to develop an economical, unique, iconic and attractive asset for USC. This project, and the process that enables it, is a model of how sustainable design—saving and savoring an existing historic asset—can honor the past and project forcefully into the future.

The East Library can be the catalytic tipping point in developing the sense of an “East USC Village."
